The World Trade Organization (WTO) member countries next week in a meeting of trade officials, the investigation will set up an expert group on the United States imposed high tariffs on Chinese tire investigation.

The survey will focus on Barack Obama President of the United States in September last year, China approved a 3-year tire levy high tariffs. Obama's aim is slowing China's tire exports to the U.S. growth rate, and to protect the U.S. tire industry jobs.

The United States and China has recently witnessed a series of trade wars, covering iron and steel, music downloads, patents and poultry, etc., tires in the dispute with the latest trade war between the two sides.

WTO dispute settlement body will be held January 19 meeting, the meeting agenda included the Chinese claims. The U.S. government last month to delay the investigation set up an expert group of China's demand requirements, but according to WTO rules, the U.S. government can not be postponed again the request.

WTO expert survey team will assess whether the United States imposed high tariffs violate WTO rules. In general, WTO trade disputes need to spend a lot of years to be resolved, but the WTO could allow Member States to take retaliatory sanctions.

Obama approved in September last year, China's tire levy a 3-year high tariffs, including tariffs as high as 35% during the first year, 4% higher than the usual too. Since the 2001 accession to WTO, China's export surge to the United States, Europe and other parts of the manufacturer of an impact.

U.S. imports of Chinese tires are used for low-end models. Originating in the United States price of brand-name tires easily more than 100 U.S. dollars, while Chinese tire price is sometimes only half of the U.S. tire. The United States imposed high tariffs, China will have to raise the price of tires.

In 2008, U.S. imports from China of 46 million tires in 2004, imports 3 times. Moreover, the Chinese tire market share in the United States from less than 5% to 17% or so.

The Chinese Government believes that the United States imposed high tariffs on Chinese tire acts in a trade protectionist measures, and the first half of 2009 China's tire exports to the United States has decreased by about 15%. The Chinese government pointed out that China's exports to the United States two-thirds of the tire production joint ventures, which means that there are also some American companies from the Chinese tire exports to the United States to benefit.
