Outside Basketball Courts

Do you love basketball? If so, then you may have that wish of having an outside basketball courts in your backyard. These courts will make it possible for you to play your preferred sports whenever you like to do it and at the computer of your own property.
So if you want to build your outside basketball courts, first thing that you have to do is to measure out the size of your lawn. In this way, you will know the dimension of the basketball court that you will set up on your lawn. If you have a big space then you can opt to set a full basketball court. The good thing about measuring your lawn is that you can also call some assistance from your friends to assist you in measuring it.
Next step that you can do is to check the kind of ground that you will create your own outside basketball courts. This is to make sure that you have the ground levelled already. Unleveled ground can affect how you play and may even cause accidents.
After checking the ground, you now have to prepare the hole where the ring pole will be placed. Remember that the recommended diameter of the hole is three times more than the pole's diameter. And in order to ensure the post's stability, the hole must be around 14 or 15 inches in depth.
Next, put gravel in the ground's hole and fill it up to the 6 to 8-inch level. Also, it is important to level out the gravel in order to help the drainage process in the hole. Now place the post in the hole on top of the gravel.
Fifth important step is to place the concrete mix to fill in the remaining parts of the hole. You just need to be sure that you have mixed it properly when it has dried. Fill it in the hole for about three to four inches deep. Levelling still needs to be done afterwards to assure stability.
Finally, add water in order to the concrete mix together with some soil. Remember to read the guide on the concrete mix's package so you can add the right amount of water. After adding water, what you just need to do is to wait for the mix and the soil to dry.
By this time, you can already start playing with your friends in your very own outside basketball courts. This is a great way to spend time with your loved ones too and serve as solid bonding time with friends. Instead of just watching your favorite sport on TV, you can do your own basketball moves in the comfort of your own home and get to practice frequently too.
