How to get an Online CPR Certification

by Samantha H. Kiva

In my senior year in high school I learned CPR. I did not do it because I wanted to learn a life saving skill or because I thought that it would be a useful tool. I needed the extra credit to get a passing grade in P.E.

I figured it would be easy to take an online CPR class for an hour and get the credit. After getting CPR certified online I began to realize how this course could really help in an emergency.

I stared to understand how important a CPR class can be. Everyone should be made to take this class. Anyone can learn CPR but also Parents and babysitters can learn Child CPR and Infant CPR.

I remembered back to a day when I was babysitting my 2 year old niece. She was eating candy and began to choke. We were both in a panic and she could not breathe. I was young and did not know CPR, First Air, AED or anything. I just panicked. We were lucky, she coughed up the candy and was fine.

I pray you will never have to feel this defenseless. What would you do? What skills do you have? How could you help? Im happy to have found online resources like the National CPR Certification Organization. Here you can take classes in CPR and First Aid for adults, children and even infants.

I am glad there are easy to use websites like the National CPR Certification Organization offering CPR, AED and First Aid classes where you can learn this life saving skill.

Becoming CPR certified is serious. With is easy to learn skill you may be able to save a life. Think about it all your family members and friends that you love. Who could you help by knowing CPR.
