Fitflops - The New Way To Exercise And Trim Down

When ex-personal fitness trainer Marcia Kilgore found that she just didn't have enough time to get to the gym as often as she wanted, she decided to remedy the situation. Working together with the London South Bank University (LSBU) she developed a range of fitness shoes and sandals which are now available under the Fitflop brand name.

A special "microwobbleboard" sole, divided into three separate zones, is used in Fitflops. Each zone is constructed from materials of different densities, which helps to produce what the manufacturers refer to as a "microwobbleboard" effect. A high density material, which helps to cushion against shock while walking, is used in the heel sector. The mid-section uses a low density material and the toe section uses medium density material.

The result of this is that the duration of muscle usage is increased when walking normally - typically by 16%. Every step that you take when wearing your Fitflops helps to tone your legs and trim your buttocks. It's like a free lower body workout just by walking about normally.
