In training they will tell you that you will have to learn to work with some pretty different people. You will have the office crank and many other personalities. Some are sure to clash too. Yet, there are some things that you just should not be based on. A few of those things are race, religion, sexual orientation, and your gender. However, if you are then you have every right to file an employee discrimination lawsuit.

While we all feel that we are treated unfairly at work, the law states that there are a few things that they can't hold against an employee. It does not matter your color, your religion, your gender, your sexual orientation, or even your disability. They can't hold this against you long as you are doing your job.

Some employers think that they can just fire people for any reason that they choose. Some even think that they can get rid of people based on the color of their skin or their gender. Well, you can't. The law says that you have to go through a process of warnings. They also say that you have to have a reason other than these conditions.

For years, people of all differences have been trying to get the rights that they have earned thus far. Women now have the right to vote as well as African Americans. Homosexuals can now get married in some states. As you can see, by discriminating them, you are knocking them down to where they once were before.

If you feel that this is something that you are dealing with, the first thing that you need to do is speak to the boss. Make sure they understand that you feel threatened. Some of them will try to get you out the door. Some might even try kissing your butt to be nice. You have to know what you are doing.

There have been all sort of cases like these. Your lawyer will know what he or she needs to do in order to allow you to win. That is a lot of things. Yet, if you have a really good lawyer, none of this will matter. Have the evidence with you. We have had clients before who have taken notebooks in order to get their proof as they made notes of what happened, who it involved, and when it happened.

As you can see, you have rights. There are some things that you should not have to put up with. This is one of them. So, if you feel that you are being discriminated against for something that is illegal like race or gender, then speak to someone. You deserve a change. You deserve to work without being harassed.
