The Buick Rendezvous can be compared to that of a dual citizenship, that of a Sport Utility Vehicle, minivan and wagon all combine in one car! Defying classification, it has crossed over the characteristics of a sedan, minivan and SUV.

Sharing an elemental structure with the Pontiac Aztek but is quite a bit longer that allows the Rendezvous to have a third seating capacity and is quite adaptable in seating five up to seven passengers. You can even choose to fold up the third line of chairs to make room for cargo plus, you can even move the second line of chairs to make more room, especially if you have fewer passengers and want them to have more space to stretch in during the long ride.

Rendezvous boasts of a 3.4 liter V6 engine, horsepower of 185 at 5200 rpm and 210 pounds of foot torque at 4000 rpm. With this features, the rendezvous can hold its own with whatever obstacles it may face. The Rendezvous is available in front wheel drive and all-wheel drive, but the latter does cost more.

The 2004 Buick Rendezvous can be had in 5 different classes to suit your needs and budget, ranked from the most luxurious and priciest to the not so luxurious and pricey: Ultra, CXL Plus, CXL, CX Plus and CX. Standard features in Ultra but not found on the other Rendezvous models are rear-obstacle detection, satellite radio and head-up instrument display, but these can be had as an optional feature for other models. Other stand alone products that can be had at extra cost are Ultra's powerful engine, anti-lock brakes, side-impact airbags and traction control for your security.

A DVD entertainment or multi-media navigation system can also be added at an additional cost to a Rendezvous of at least CXL model. The Rendezvous is also able to tow a 3500 pound weight provided that a towing package has been installed. Such a package includes high output alternator, transmission of oil cooler, heavy duty engine cooling and automatic load leveling.

The Buick Rendezvous comes in the middle of luxury sedans and SUVs when you talk of quietness of engine. It is very much responsive to driving efforts and the ride is smooth. Actually, it is unbelievably easy to deal with even in precarious roads like sandy and rocky arroyos given that you have a four wheel drive. Versatrak is the name of Rendezvous' four wheel drive which is clever enough to turn on by itself when it feels that traction aid is considered necessary.

If you are on a budget and still looking for a really nice ride, then you can never go wrong with the 2004 Buick Rendezvous!
